This September (16th-18th), Cochrane UK is hosting the annual Cochrane Colloquium in Edinburgh, with a theme of ‘Cochrane for all – better evidence for better health decisions.’ It's also set to be a Patients Included event, meaning that it's being co-designed, co-produced and co-presented by healthcare consumers. Its aim is to be a rewarding experience for patients, consumers and newcomers alike, with a wide variety of activities on offer, including workshops and social events.
With that in mind, Cochrane UK are looking for some experienced Colloquium attendees from the Cochrane Community to become consumer and newcomer buddies! Running from the Cochrane community exhibition stand, buddies will provide support and information to those who need it during some breaks and lunch. You’ll also receive a certificate for taking part and a bunch of other goodies!
Cochrane UK are looking for people who have attended multiple Colloquia, can explain the different session types, understand what Cochrane do and how we do it, and who knows who to put people in touch with from the community.
If you’re interesting in becoming a ‘consumer and newcomer buddy,’ find out more and sign-up here.
