New update: Pelvic floor muscle training for prevention and treatment of urinary and faecal incontinence in antenatal and postnatal women

A new update from Cochrane Incontinence has been published!

'Pelvic floor muscle training for prevention and treatment of urinary and faecal incontinence in antenatal and postnatal women', an update of a review originally published in 2012, has been authored by Stephanie J Woodley, Rhianon Boyle, June D Cody, Siv Mørkved and E. Jean C Hay-Smith.

The update asseses whether doing pelvic floor muscle exercises (PFME) during pregnancy or after birth can reduce incontinence and leakage. The conclusions of the update have been changed from the 2012 version.
